Situated at the head of the beautiful Val d’Aran in the heart of the Pyrenees, Baqueira Beret is widely considered to be Spain’s premier ski destination and is regularly visited by the Spanish royal family.

The main resort, Baqueira, is purpose-built with easy access to the slopes. However, for those looking to immerse themselves in the distinctive local culture there are a number of captivating villages further down the valley.

Baqueira has developed a reputation for its extensive and under-used off-piste terrain, much of which is accessible from the lifts. Snow reliability

Baqueira Beret offers 120km of skiing spread over three distinct areas – Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua. The slopes are suitable for all standards of skiers and boarders, with some genuinely testing blacks/itineraries and acres of underused, lift accessible off-piste.

The resort is also home to Spain’s only heli-ski operation, allowing the more adventurous to explore the wilder side of the local mountains and appreciate the true grandeur of the Spanish Pyrenees.

Not only does Baqueira Beret offer an outstanding variety and extent of terrain, it also boasts a formidable snow record. Unlike most Spanish resorts, the area is technically on the northern side of the Pyrenees and benefits from the full force of Atlantic and Arctic storms. 

The main resort centre is purpose-built Baqueira, where you will find our three hotels. It is dramatically set on a steep hill-side below the road that runs through to the high Port de la Bonaigua pass. The resort is compact and convenient, with many of the hotels an easy walk from the main lifts.

Baqueira has a handful of bars, shops and restaurants offering a wonderful variety of Catalan and Aranese cuisine.
