Amazing early-season snow in the Alps!

Early season snow conditions are nothing short of excellent in many parts of the Alps thanks to last week’s big storm, which delivered huge snowfalls across much of the Alps, with up to 1.5 metres falling in just 3 days in the north-west.

The northern French Alps saw the biggest dumps, with Val d’Isère, Tignes and Val Thorens all now open and boasting some of their best early-season conditions in years.

Great snow conditions can also be found in the far north-west of Italy where both Courmayeur and La Thuile saw over 1m of snow and are skiing superbly.

Snow conditions are also excellent in many Swiss resorts, especially in the north and west, including Verbier, Mürren and Engelberg.

While the southern and eastern Alps may not have seen quite as much snow, there is still some fabulous early season skiing on offer in the Dolomites and much of Austria, especially in the reliably snowy Arlberg region where Lech and St Anton are due to open on 3 December.
